Bu sayfa dahilinde 3 senedir yaptığım, geride kalan yılın kendimce altı çizelisi albüm listesini 2011 yılı için biraz olsun demleyeyim dedim. Hayal meyal... 8, 9 yaşlarında Burdur'dayım. Benden 7,8 yaş büyük komşumuz Abi'nin sinema sevgisi ve bana yaptığı hamilik ile kendimi her hafta sinemada buluyorum. Şehrin, benim hatırladığım tek sineması var. Ve galiba benim sinemaları filmlerden genelde daha çok sevmeme neden olan mekanlardan birisi burası. Zafer Mahallesi'nde olması vesilesiyle Zafer Sineması ismi yakıştırılan bir kilise. Sağır taş duvarların içerisinde dönen dünyayı dışarı bırakmayan, çocuk boyuna yüksek mi yüksek bir yapı. Ve hatırlayamadığım bir geçmişten beri dilime yapışan yegane ingilizce dize: “ku, ku , ku çu, misis rabinsın”. Ne zaman bu parçayı duysam gözümün önüne bu taş duvarlar, yüksek çatı, burnuma ise yamru yumru taş, toprak zemin üzerinde gezen eğreti tahta sinema koltuklarında otururken yapışan rutubet geliyor. Yıllar sonra tekrar izlediğimde şarkı ile o kilisede izlediğim “The Graduate” arasındaki bağlantıyı kurabildim.

Yaşı kırklarda olan bir çok kişinin yolu Paul Simon gibi büyük müzisyenlerle muhtemelen dolambaçlı da olsa kesişmiştir. Böylesine büyük müzisyenlere galiba siz gitmiyorsunuz, bulmuyorsunuz. Onlar sizi herhangi bir zaman içerisinde buluyorlar ve siz onlarla yaşamadığınızı zannetseniz de sizin hayatınızın bir parçası oluyorlar. Paul Simon 60 yaşının baharında İstanbul'a geliyor.

Simon&Garfunkel birlikteliğinin dağılıp Art Garfunkel ile ayrılmaları üzerinden 10'larca sene geçti.

Köklere ve kendi coğrafyalarının dışına da olabildiğince ilgili ikilinin Bridge Over Troubled Water, "Cecilia", "I'm A Rock" ve J.F. Kennedy suikastine atfen yazdıkları "The Sound of Silence" gibi parçalar kuşak çatışmasının beyaz bayrağı değil de nedir?

“Paul Simon”, “Graceland” gibi albümler olmadan müzik tarihinin yazılamayacağı albümlere tek tabanca imza attı. Bu sene “So Beautiful or So What” ismiyle singer-songwriter geleneğinin şahikalarından sayılacak bir albüm çıkardı. Müziğin ermişleri kategorisinde anıla gelen, fazlalarından arınmış bir vect halinin bu büyük müzisyenini canlı izlemek ömrümüze ömür katabilir ki uzun yaşamak kütlesi ağır yaşamak değil midir, tıp ki Paul Simon gibi. Hep beraber " And here's to you, Mrs. Robinson" demek için.

Fransız yönetmen Claire Denis'in Tindersticks ile birlikteliği, 1996 yılı filmi Nénette et Boni ile başladı. Düşkünleri gayet iyi hatırlar. O yıla gelinceye değin çıkmış olan birbirinden zehir ilk iki albümün zerk olduğu bünyemizi, aklımızı nerelere koyacağımız bilmez, çoğu zaman günleri, haftaları tek kalem bu Nottingham'lı tayfa ile tarumar ederdik. Hasret ile beklenen bir üçüncü Tindersticks kaydı olarak Nénette et Boni Soundtrack albümünün kaset formatını o yıllarda Atlas Pasajı içerisinde faal olan Kod Müzik'den edindiğimi hatırlıyorum. C.Denis ve Tindersticks birlikteliği bugünlere dek süre gelmekte.11 Nisan 2011 gecesinin İstanbul'unda, bu birlikteliğin retrospektif bir kesitine Tindersticks ile tanık olduk. Mayıs 2011'de satışa çıkacak olan "Claire Denis Film Scores 1996 - 2009" albümüyle Tindersticks, Claire Denis ile 15 yıllık beraberlikleriyle oluşan 6 filmlik müzikal koleksiyonlarını, bir kutu içinde topladı. Konu olan konser ise bu kaydı merkez alan bir dizinin ilk ayağı. Aslında 26 Nisan 2011 de Queen Elizabeth Hall/Londra'da başlıyor gibi görünen projenin prömiyeri bize nasip oldu. İki gündür prova yaptıklarını da belirteyim. proje zor bir proje. Arkada gayet iyi mikslenmiş, Tindersticks'in de parmağı olduğu 6 Clara Denis filmi ve sahnede 7,8 kişilik moody film müziği orkestrası. Konser/film Nénette (Alice Houri)'nin havuzda saçlarını gezdirmesiyle başlıyor. Nénette et Boni'nin akabinde Vendredi Soir, The Intruder, 35 Shots of Rum, Trouble Every Day ile 2009 tarihli son film White Material ( Isabelle Huppert, Christopher Lambert) devam ediyor ve sonlanıyor. Filmin müziği alınmış orjinal sesi, diyalogları Tindersticks'in müziği ile atbaşı gidiyor. Ses ağırlıklarına, sahne akışlarına, film bağlantılarına ve tabii ki orjinal görsel-müzik senkronizasyonuna uyan ve hiç de kolay olmayan bir kurgu. Sözkonusu konser/film'in bir diğer önemli noktası da şu: böyle bir projeyi hayata geçirebilecek uzun soluklu yönetmen/müzisyen birlikteliği aklımıza getirmeye çalışalım, bir yerden çıkamayabiliriz. Belki bir kaç film daha sabrederlerse Nick Cave/John Hillcoat benzer bir lezzette ortaya dökülebilir.

Jessica 6, 9 Şubat'2011 Çarşamba günü Bant organizasyonu ile Salon İKSV'de...Nomi Ruiz (vocals, songs), Andrew Raposo (bass), Morgan Wiley (keyboards) den müteşekkil NY/Brooklyn'li trio, disco, funk, soul ve 80'ler pop'unu bildik DFA tezgahında eritiyor.
Malum "Logan's World" 'deki Jessica 6 karakterinden mülhem bir grup isimleri var. Film uyarlaması da olan sözkonusu distopik bilimkurgu roman'da 30'yaş, izin verilen yaşama sınırı. Malum, bu konseri izlemek için 24 yaşında olmanız gerektiğini düşünürsek ve 6 sene içinde, sonunda ne olacağını bilemiyorsak "Logan's World" un distopyası bile ehvenişer. Ben 30'umu geçtim, muafım. Üst sınır gelinceye kadar rahatım.

2010 tarihli "We Were So Turned On: A Tribute to David Bowie" albümünde Bowie'nin Lost Highway sountrack'inde de açılışı yapan ve bu hafta Ahtapotun Bahçesi'nde yer verdiğim "I'm Deranged" adlı lokomotif, müthiş parçaya Jessica 6'ın yorumu ile rastlamıştık. Ben maalesef izleyemeyeceğim ama umarın sahnede bu yoruma da yer verirler.

2010 yılı içerisinde Ahtapotun Bahçesi'nde sık dönen, müziksever dostlar ile aramızda sözü bol edilen, kulağımda sürgit dolaşan ve görece bereketsiz bir yılın geniş gözlü eleğinden dökülen bir çeyreklik liste.
Sıralanmayan yaklaşık bir ellilik liste de aşağıdaki listeye ilaveten, sayfa/ekran sağında yer alıyor.
Bu senenin en büyük sürprizi benim için Swans'dı. İzini kaybettirmese de, müziğini sürekli bizimle paylaşmış olsa da Michael Gira'nın 10 küsur sene sonra Swans olarak tekrar kara sularda süzülmesi heyecan verici.
